Yim Tom: Jewels for the Journey is a celebration of gemstones, distinctive design and timeless craftsmanship, all with a heritage.

Incorporating gemstones from Han Dynasty up to late 20th century, utilitarian gemstone buttons to Jadeite counterweight from an Imperial Court necklace, Yim does not consider herself a jewelry designer but, rather, a temporary caretaker of gems that find their way into her collection.  Mediterranean Corals, Tahitian Pearls and various gemstones from legendary traders accent the compositions.  Through Yim’s eyes and the goldsmith’s hands, they re-appear, ready to accompany a new journey.

Beijing born Yim Tom spent her career pursuing and appreciating the beauty of hand craftsmanship. Raised in Miami, Florida, she earned a degree in Asian Studies, before moving to Hong Kong in 1990. With a passion for gemstones in all forms and jade in particular, she has allowed them to take her on a magical journey.

Gemstones have long been used to connect with eternal natures and empower our presence aboard this magical journey of life. Natural gemstones, lovingly collected over decades are gathered and finished. Hemmed in 18 to 20 Karat gold, each gemstone resonates its own strength.
